| Well 2011 is over and done and needless to say the surf fishing was some of the worst seen in several decades. There was a brief shot of fish around the Columbus Day weekend and then some fish showed up late in November and December. Hopefully 2012 will see a return of the fish.
Here is hoping everyone has a safe and Happy New Year and we will see you in the spring.
We also want to extend our deepest condolences to the Kronuch family on the passing of Kathy. She was a fixture at Montauk for decades and put many of us on fish. She will be sorley missed.
Salt water fishing permit extends only to Hither Hills. Everywhere east requires permit pending legal proceedings brought by Suffolk County judge. Click here to read full story.
